Dublin's Viking Adventure allows you to experience smells and sounds of Dyflin, the former Viking village, built one thousand years ago, the predecessor for Dublin as we know it today.

Experience how the Vikings lived over 1,000 years ago. See how they built their wattle and daub houses, learn about the daily lives of the village blacksmith and silversmith. Animal skins, weapons and tools typically found in a Viking dwelling can be seen. Learn how they wove cloth for their clothes. Hear about the slow conversion of the Viking to Christianity. You can also visit a life size reconstruction of a 30 metre Viking ship.

Learn about the development of Dyflin from Viking times to the Dublin of the present day.

Dublin’s Viking Museum, operated by kind permission of the National Museum of Ireland, features a comprehensive presentation and interpretation of the archeological finds of recent excavations in Temple Bar.
