Dublin Restaurants

With the rise of the Celtic Tiger in the early years of this century and the resulting influx of foreign immigrants, the number and variety of Dublin restaurants expanded greatly. So your choice includes Indian, Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Mayalsian, Vietnamese and Persian to name but a few.

Your hotel receptionist should be able to make the best recommendations for you about local restaurants and will often book for you. Restaurants get busy on Friday and Saturday nights particularly and so if there is a restaurant you especially want to visit it is always best to book to avoid disappointment.

Watch out for Dine In Dublin Restaurant Week, which takes place around the 3rd week in March annually, where many participating restaurants put on special menus at a discounted price.

It is normal to tip about 10-15% in a restaurant if you have enjoyed your meal. However some restaurants add a service charge to the menu - if this is the case you are not expected to tip as well.
