The Dublin Area Rapid Transport system is the rail line running along the coast of Dublin, from Malahide and Howth southwards as far as Greystones, Co Wicklow. The DART system is operated by the national rail operator, Iarnr√≥d √Čireann (meaning "Irish Rail").

Luas (which in English means "speed") is a state of the art Light Rail transport system in Dublin that provides a unique alternative to the private car. It runds on tram lines throughout the city. The Luas provides passengers with a high-capacity service that is fast, frequent and reliable. There are convenient stop locations, excellent levels of comfort, safety and accessibility. Luas is an environmentally friendly system.
