Bank opening times:
Banks are open Mon.-Fri. 10am to 4pm except on Thursdays when Banks are open until 5pm.

Post Offices:
Post Offices are open Mon.-Fri. 9.30pm to 6pm. The General Post Office in O'Connell Street, is open Mon.-Sat. 8am-8pm, Sun and Bank Holidays 10.30am-6.30pm.

Currency:
The Irish Punt will exist when Euro notes and coins will replace the Irish Punt, The Irish pound (Punt) is divided into 100 pence, one pound (£1). Currency notes are available in £5, £10, £20, £50 and £100. The Irish Punt is not normally accepted in Northern Ireland as the British Pound Sterling is used.  Currency Converter
