James Fox Cigar and Whiskey Store, Dublin

Tobacconists J.J. Fox was established on Grafton Street by London-born James John Fox in 1881. During World War II the firm claimed to be the only shop in northern Europe to maintain a constant supply of Havana cigars.

James Fox’s grandson, Fred, is believed to be the instigator of the world’s first duty-free shop at Shannon Airport in 1947 when he suggested to the government of the day to sell duty-free cigarettes and liquor.

James Fox Dublin Store is the focal point in Dublin for lovers of Whiskey and premium Cuban Cigars. Here you will find the largest selection of longfiller handmade cigars in Ireland, which are carefully stored and maintained in a state of art humidified enviroment. The James Fox store is the only cigar store in Ireland to source cigars exclusively from the Habanos official agents in Ireland and the UK, and is the only cigar store in Ireland to carry the Habanos certificate of authenticity.
