Description:
Established in 1966 to commemorate
the 50th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising. It is dedicated to those who
died during the struggle for Irish independence.
An Oisin Kelly sculpture is in the park. It shows people from the tragic Irish legend of the Children of
Lir, where four
children were turned into swans by their stepmother which is an old irish
legend. In the centre of the park is a large rectangular pond.

The Garden
of Remembrance is found on the north side of Parnell Square, which is
at the end of O'Connell Street.
